Privacy Policy

How Solar Shift collects, uses and protects the personal information you share with us — written in plain language, and aligned with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

Who we are

Solar Shift is the renewable energy division of Paradigm Structure Inc., a corporation registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission, based in Cebu City and operating across Cebu and the wider Visayas.

In the language of the Data Privacy Act, Paradigm Structure Inc. is the personal information controller for the data described in this policy. If you have a question about how your information is handled, contact us using the details in section 9.

02

What we collect

We only collect what we need in order to answer your enquiry and design a system for your site.

When you submit the consultation form we collect your name, email address, mobile number, city or municipality, property type, average monthly electricity bill, the system you are considering, your preferred timeline, and anything you write in the message field.

When you simply browse our hosting provider records standard server log information such as IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. This is used for security and performance, not to build a profile of you.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, government identification numbers, bank or card details, or any sensitive personal information as defined by the Data Privacy Act.

03

Why we collect it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to carry out a load analysis and prepare a system specification and quotation, to arrange a site inspection, and to provide after-sales support on systems we have installed.

The consultation form asks you to confirm that we may contact you about your enquiry. That is the only consent we ask for, and it covers replying to you about the system you asked about. We do not run a marketing list. If we start one, it will be a separate opt-in and this policy will say so before it happens.

Our lawful bases are your consent, and the necessity of processing to enter into or perform a contract with you.

04

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We share data only where it is necessary to deliver the service: with our own solar and electrical technicians; with equipment suppliers and manufacturers where a warranty must be registered in your name; with our hosting and email providers who process data on our instructions; and with government agencies or utilities where a permit, inspection or grid connection requires it.

05

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not proceed are kept for two years and then deleted, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us.

Records relating to systems we have installed are kept for the life of the installation plus ten years. This is deliberate: warranty claims, maintenance history and system documentation all depend on it.

Marketing contact details are kept until you withdraw consent.

06

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, access to enquiry records is limited to personnel who need it, and our systems are kept up to date.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach occurs that is likely to put your rights at serious risk, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission as the Data Privacy Act requires.

07

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to access the data we hold about you, to correct anything inaccurate, to object to processing, to have your data erased or blocked, to data portability, to damages where you have suffered from unlawful processing, and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

To exercise any of these, email us using the details in section 9. We will respond within fifteen working days. There is no charge.

08

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own, and nothing on these pages tracks you. There is no analytics, no advertising tag, no pixel and no session recording.

The page builder stores two small technical values in your browser so that pages display correctly. They hold no personal information and are not used to identify you.

The typefaces are served from our own server rather than a font service, so simply reading these pages passes nothing to an outside company. Our hosting provider necessarily handles the request itself, as section 4 explains.

One exception, and it is yours to decide. A short video on this site is hosted on YouTube. Nothing is requested from YouTube while you read the page — you see a still image until you choose to play it. If you press play, the video loads from Google’s privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and from that moment Google receives your IP address and may set cookies in your browser under its own terms. If you never press play, there is no contact with Google at all.

If we later add analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before they are set.

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use data you have already given us will be notified directly where we hold your contact details.
